Master Cheongun from a small hermitage at Sindoan on Gyeryongsan, Chungcheong“Well now, even at eighty-two I still feel like strolling down the mountain once in a while. It is only natural that a young person has itchy feet.”The Meaning of the Traveling Horse Star and the Four Characters
The Traveling Horse means an energy that refuses to stay in one place and travels far and wide. In saju, the four characters Tiger, Monkey, Snake, and Pig represent the Traveling Horse.
Just as the direction of the wind shifts when the seasons change, these characters bring major movement and vitality into your life.
How the Traveling Horse Is Determined by Animal and Day
The Traveling Horse is found using the three-harmony combinations based on your birth year animal or your birth day. For the Tiger, Horse, and Dog, the Monkey is the Traveling Horse. For the Monkey, Rat, and Dragon, the Tiger is the Traveling Horse.
For the Snake, Rooster, and Ox, the Pig is the Traveling Horse. For the Pig, Rabbit, and Goat, the Snake is the Traveling Horse. You look for the very same pairs when using your day of birth as the baseline.
From a Life of Hardship to an Engine of Success
When you have the Traveling Horse in your saju, you often experience frequent relocations, moves, business trips, life overseas, travel, or career changes. In the old days when travel was dangerous, people worried because leaving home meant a life of hardship and wandering.
In today's connected world, however, this has become a precious talent. It unleashes extraordinary strength in wide-ranging fields such as global business, trade, logistics, sales, travel, and remote work.
A Flow of Luck That Unlocks When You Move
People with the Traveling Horse do much better when they stay active and move around, rather than forcing themselves to remain in one spot. Being trapped makes them feel suffocated, but stepping into new surroundings makes their talents blossom.
In particular, when you make a move during a year or month when your Traveling Horse energy arrives, blocked paths begin to clear up smoothly.
How to Check Your Own Saju
You can find out right away by checking the character for your birth year animal and your birth day. Look closely to see if Tiger, Monkey, Snake, or Pig appears among your eight characters.
Check your date of birth to see whether your constant urge to travel or your frequent career changes were driven by the Traveling Horse in your saju.
