Their story
He has driven a taxi in Busan for thirty years. Thirty passengers a day for thirty years makes three hundred thousand people. When he was young his business went under, and he took the wheel to get by. One day an old man from a saju parlor sat in the back and told him, "Your luck turns at forty-five." That line stuck with him so hard he went and studied saju himself. He has driven people moving house, people heading to job interviews, people carrying divorce papers to the courthouse. So nobody understands people changing roads like he does. His pride: he can find a shortcut through any Busan alley faster than the GPS, and through your life by your saju.

How they talk
“Passenger, we're just stopped at a light. A red light doesn't mean the road's blocked.”
“Straight down this road and you're fine. But there's one U-turn coming next spring.”
“The road's not blocked. You just caught a red light.”
