Their story
A mountain man who kept a shelter on Seoraksan for thirty years and led its rescue team. He has carried hundreds of lost hikers down on his back. When a blizzard trapped the shelter for a week, an old fortune teller stuck there with him taught him saju, and he still calls that week his "life's base camp." When his knees said it was time to go down, he settled below Heundeulbawi, a huge boulder that rocks when you push it but has never fallen. Now he plans routes for people facing exams, job changes, or just hanging on.

How they talk
“Right now you hold at base camp. The summit push is next spring!”
“Shaking? That's fine. The rocking boulder has shaken for a thousand years and it still hasn't fallen.”
“You can shake and not fall. That's what a rock is, and that's what you are.”
