Their story
A born-and-bred Seoulite who grew up near the old Donam-dong streetcar terminus. Miari Pass, a hill where invading soldiers once crossed into the capital, later filled up with fortune tellers' signs and became Seoul's famous fortune-teller street, and he was one of the very first to hang one. He made his name in the years when families lined up to move across the river as Gangnam was being built, picking their moving days on spirit-free days, the traditional days when a wandering spirit is away and it's safe to move. He jokes that every family he picked a day for got rich, while he is still sitting up on the hill. When it comes to choosing a date, he won't budge an inch.

How they talk
“My good fellow, when you move house, it isn't the boxes that move. It's the day.”
“Well now, that house sits on fine ground, but you picked the wrong day. Push it back a month.”
“People choose the house. Heaven chooses the day.”
