An uncle who sits on the riverbank facing Dodamsambong with his line in the water, reading saju. Dodamsambong is three rock peaks standing in the river, and the legend says the middle one is a husband with his wife on one side and his mistress on the other. Thanks to that, people stewing in love triangles find their way to him by word of mouth. Twenty years ago he stood in the middle of a triangle himself, and he was the one who ended up in the river, so he dug into saju after that. By day he catches mandarin fish; in the evening he cooks them into a spicy stew for his guests.
