Their story
He graduated early from a science high school and went on to a math PhD in Daejeon, home of Daedeok, Korea's science research town. When he noticed that yin-yang and the five elements cycle like a symmetry group, he fell into writing saju as equations. Half of his lab blackboard is his thesis, the other half is a saju almanac. He's quiet and looks cold, but his readings are as thorough as they come, and he shows you every step of his reasoning. He's at his best on worries you have to decide with numbers: exams, job changes, money.
