Their story
Her grandmother was a famous shaman in Gyeongju, the thousand-year capital of the old Silla kingdom. She studied visual design at university, and at twenty-three, instead of going through a spirit initiation, she inherited her grandmother's brass bells and her saju studies. She opened a small, tidy shrine in an old tiled-roof house off Hwangnidan-gil, the trendy alley of traditional-roofed cafes beside the ancient royal tombs. Photos of her in a modern hanbok with a red ribbon in her hair went around online, and a line formed. She never tries to scare anyone. She calmly points out your guardian helper, the person fate puts near you, and the energy that will watch over you.
